PROJECT BRIEF

Empowering Persons with Disabilities through Inclusive Graduation and Resilience (EPDIGR) project employs an inclusive graduation approach to build sustainable, resilient livelihoods for persons with disabilities. Its core strategies integrate economic empowerment and social inclusion and gender equality. The project is supported by CBM Global Disability Inclusion and Implemented by CDD.

Objectives/Outcomes/Long-term Results

OPDs, Apex Bodies, and SHGs are strengthened to function as inclusive Community Resource Hubs, providing support on disability inclusion, rehabilitation, gender equality, and mental health

Persons with disabilities, including those with diverse support needs, are engaged in sustainable, climate-resilient, and gender-responsive livelihood activities through the Inclusive Graduation Approach, leading to increased household income, autonomy, and improved standard of living

Evidence, best practices, and learning on inclusive and gender-responsive livelihood are systematically documented, shared, and disseminated to relevant stakeholders at local and national levels to influence policy and program practice

Major Activities
  1. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
  2. SHG Strengthening – Group formation, savings (VSLA), capacity enhancement and maturity assessment.
  3. OPD Strengthening & Advocacy – Governance, capacity development, advocacy and inclusive action planning.
  4. Livelihood Support through Inclusive Graduation Approach
  5. Financial Inclusion and market linkage.
  6. Community Sensitization
  7. Local Government Engagement – UDMC/WDMC, service linkage and disability-inclusive local planning.
  8. Health & Rehabilitation – PRT, mental health camps, peer responders, referrals and assistive devices.
  9. Gender & Disability Inclusion
  10. Safeguarding & Accountability – PSEAH, feedback, complaints and risk management.
