Working with CDD

There are many ways in which CDD works with partner and support organisations to enhance opportunities for persons with disabilities.

How we can help you

CDD helps many organisations by providing advice on how to become more inclusive of persons with disabilities. We can advise on how to produce and implement disability inclusive policies and procedures, recruitment and accommodation of persons with disabilities in your organisation’s workforce, training for your staff to help them understand disability and improve your inclusion practices, for example. CDD provides this service to any organisation that is interested in embracing persons with disabilities in how they operate, and we currently have ongoing partnerships with many development organisations both nationally and internationally.

How you can assist our work

CDD also works with many funding partners who provide essential resources and support to fund our projects in Bangladesh, focused on improving disability inclusion and access and creating a more equitable society where the rights of persons with disabilities are acknowledged and upheld. The support of our partners is vital if we are to continue to pursue our mission and grow our activities into the future, and any form of assistance is welcome. A few examples of ways in which you could support our work are as follows and illustrate that even small contributions can make a big difference to the quality of life of persons with disabilities:

  • Purchase of assistive devices such as wheelchairs or artificial limbs for some of our clients
  • Funding the operational costs for our mobile service (bus and ship) so we can reach highly vulnerable persons in remote areas
  • Funding for emergency relief for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups who have been affected by a disaster
  • Production costs for our range of Braille and Bangla sign language materials
  • Funding to assist us in building a new state of the art Training Centre in Savar to update our training facilities
