Job Context
Since November 2017, CDD supported by CBM are implementing humanitarian response for the Rohingyas in Cox’s Bazaar. The key activities of the response are provision of medical and rehabilitation services, running of inclusive child friendly space, inclusive education in emergencies as well as technical support to mainstream organisations to include persons with disabilities in their humanitarian response.

Job Responsibilities

The main task is to help/support the Camp Site Manager for smooth running of the field activities.

  • Key function – 1
    • Involvement into the field site monitoring, and regular reporting to Camp Site Manager
    • Find out the different field needs and report to Camp Site Manager for fulfilling  the need
  • Make extensive field visits.
  • Key function – 2
    • Attend different field level meetings with Camp Site Manager or in absence of Camp Site Manager
    • Work for maintaining collaboration & coordination with different field authorities under the supervision of Camp Site Manager.
    • Work for securing different project CIC permission and maintaining govt. compliances.
  • Key function – 3
    • Work towards ensuring the smooth running of camps (Main Camp & Bus Camp) under supervision of Camp Site Manager.
    • Help to Camp Site Manager to organize & provide support during different program/events
  • Support Camp Site Manager with other assigned activities of program;
  • Perform additional work according to the project’s need and as being assigned by the CDD authority.

(Note that Key function could be but not limited to

  1. Program/project/operation Management – it includes MEAL activities including documentation and reporting;
  2. Capacity building;
  3. External representation and Advocacy
  4. Professional development

Essential knowledge, skills and behaviors required for the position:

Professional Profile and Requirements

  1. University Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Human rights, sociology, disability studies, international development, humanitarian assistance or any other relevant area
  2. Experience in inclusion of at risk groups ideally in humanitarian context– persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people
  3. Experience in humanitarian/ development context
  4. Knowledge on humanitarian sectors
  5. Knowledge / understanding on the rights of persons with disabilities, older people or other at risk groups and their challenges in humanitarian/development context highly desirable
  6. Experience working with partners and other international stakeholders (UN, INGOs) highly desirable

Job Responsibilities:The main task is to help/support the Camp Site Manager for smooth running of the field activities.

  • Supervise the CFS staff members on location to ensure quality implementation of activities and facilitate access to the child friendly spaces for all;
  • Ensure that minimum standards of the child friendly are considered
  • Report general protection issues present in the CFS locations to the supervisor and Camp Site Manager.
  • Communicate and share learning with supervisor and all CFS staff members
  • Advocate on behalf of and with children to ensure that other international and local service providers in the area act on behalf of children affected by the crisis in relation to the child friendly spaces;
  • Coordinate with the administrative and financial assistant all the administrative and financial aspects of operations;
  • Responsible for monthly plan and weekly reports
  • Responsible for outreach with the help of his / her team and program assistant.
  • Support in conducting structured group activities as art, cultural activities, sport, games and life skills building ones.
  • Conduct various field visits to the different areas of operations to monitor and supervise the progress of the work periodically.
  • When needed and on occasional basis, carry out public relations activities, which include accompanying visitors and donors to the project.
  • File all important records and correspondences related to the project.
  • Facilitate the rehabilitation of the determined locations (Painting, procurement of needed material, installation of the sound system, bathroom renovation, etc.)

Educational Requirements

  1. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed), Training/ Trade Course: Diploma in Education, Bachelor Degree / Master’s Degree in any discipline.

Job Responsibilities: Screening and assessment of Rohingya people with medical intervention;

  • Client referral to other professionals for medical and rehabilitation services;
  • Education and awareness among caregivers about disability and rehabilitation;
  • Preparation of treatment plan for follow up services;
  • Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery;
  • Support project Manager with other assigned activities of project;
  • Perform additional work according to the project’s need and as being assigned by the CDD authority.
  • Ensure all Medical professional standard protocols and compliances are met. Maintains all required ethical requirements to treating patients.

Educational Requirements: MBBS
